Will I need previous sales experience? What skills do I need?
Colonial Life independent agents come from varying walks of life. You don’t need prior sales or insurance experience, but skills like drive, motivation, willingness to learn, communication skills and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives are important.
What training is available to help me get started as a Colonial Life independent agent?
You will have access to a robust training program that includes virtual, classroom and self-paced training, as well as access to mentoring and best practices with experienced agents initially and throughout your career.
Is an insurance license required to get started?
No. If you're new to insurance, Colonial Life provides regular recruiter check-ins as you prepare to get your license. If you already have your license, Colonial LIfe can connect you to the resources and support you will need to hit the ground running.
